This is a manifesto masquerading as a riddle wrapped in a mystery disguised as a poem. I will be mentally chewing over it all day. I am unsettled by it, inspired to sing by it, challenged by it. Love it!

If that isn't the most succinct and accurate socioeconomic commentary of who we've become as a nation, I don't know what is.

Murder is wrong, but war can be a necessity.
Imagine if Churchill never faught off the Nazi Tyranny with all its vile acts, and just capitulated like the rest of europe, not helping the jews back to freedom, etc, etc, etc.
People like my father who faught in that war, my great uncle who died in the first one, because of men like that, we enjoy our freedom. Appeasement is for the man feeding the alligator, hoping to be the last one eaten by it.
Kinda in Nietzsche's style, the man was a fool and coward, as with Tolstoyism, and look how they ended up...

J I love the way you stir the mind to think about each line and verse that you offer us. The possible illusion to abuse in the opening, the anti war sentiments in the second and the anti potlitical/rligious stance with the conclusion a look at your accusers...well done my young friend. Really liked this one and the style you chose to do it in.
