“Angel Death”

I know my words
will fall, unheard, onto
deep waters a stone,
and never meld your soul's
fires, or enter your
incorporeal skin, as I
whisper them ...

into your
ethereal senses

My virgin spirit
aspires your specter—gleams
upon the grains of dust—the
countless lure of ancients—they,
you have seen fold … each one
embraced in passing

I know my appeal
will fade, unseen, onto
star girded universe,
and never, a day, feel you nest
with me, or rest upon
my yearning
as my love …

ever in
our sacred heaven

gifts of roses (be-let)
as you reach—dispirited—charred
deep and black to dust—eternally,
their aroma broken—although,
my heart is set, as I whirl astir
your unfaltering neck …

loving
laying my soulful lips direct
upon you

Soulfully dark.

I feel somehow that this highly romantic pleading is misnamed. It seems more to me to be titled, Angel Love. Unless of course, you are a vampire and your love just sucks life from her.

"laying my soulful lips direct
upon you"

What a wondrous, soul-giving seven words, Darkest. This is a fantastic piece of writing, my friend.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
