 Silently, slowly, ever so slowly,

Softly pushing aside the soil,

A garden comes to life.

Heaven’s calling card shines bright,

Its warm fingers nourish

The young, yawning seedlings.

They respond in arrays of glorious color,

Soul soothing scents

And bounties so no creature goes hungry.

God’s gift, those gardens wild and tame,

Places where all lessons can be learned,

Each question answered in whispers.

All we need do

Is listen to the wind

As it winds along our path each day.

I like the relationship this poem brings out between the heavens above and the earth below, each nourishes the other in a never ending cycle and one could not exist without the other as we know it.
Good thoughts.
Okay, now I want to go back to having a garden....maybe!

Beautifully written about what we take for granted and is really, the Garden of Eden, that is so wished for, but right there for us to enjoy and bask in. I like the way you mention both the wild version and the tame. Both of these are necessary--one for our sustenance and the other for our soul.

Nature always seems to have something to say, yet her silence is perhaps her most powerful remark. You are on to something in this poem, from the title onward. As you said, all we need to do is listen, something that many people don't do these days. Nice work. John
