For Easter...written long, long ago. Bless the Lord Jesus!
The sky cried today
and I wondered why the angels wept so.
Then someone said to me, "Why don't you know? Our Savior was taken away."
And I looked to Golgotha
There was the stark outline of crosses; three.
A sense of great sorrow and loss
Then swept over me.
The angels wept, for He suffered so
For this and much more, I did too.
But He did not die in vain, they said,
"He died for me and for you."
And while the angels wept,
Our blessed Lord Jesus quietly slept.
One step closer to His heavenly home on high
His new home with the angels in the clear blue sky.
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
