Just because....

You're the hero of my novels,
Explorer, Prince, and King.
You save the damsel in distress
And preach, and teach, and sing.

You blaze galaxies and planets,
Find treasures that tantalize,
With handsome, dashing looks
And courage that never dies.

Casey, Dustin, Dylan, Hunter
Names as bold as you....
Romping through chapter after chapter
A hero true as true .

Slaying dragons, saving the Earth
Making our world a better place.
Promise to be always the hero to me
With that same smile, that same dear face.

Yes, I write of you, my hero
But of pure imagination you're not
You are as real as anything
I can conjure in a plot.

I ask that you ride forever
Through my novels of many pages
And be the hero always
As I march you down the ages....

Rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief,
Doctor, lawyer, merchant, chief,
Singer, sailor, tinker, tailor,
Whatever I choose you to be...
Hero is what you are.
Hero is what you'll always be.

We can all use a hero or two. At least, the hero bewteen the pages doesn't "roam" like the real ones. He's ink controllable.

Wow, Penni, I think I need to post this right over my computer. Words to write by. Thanks.

Penni, it is great to have your own hero, isn't it? Men also seek their heroines, but the ones I have found sooner or later have feet of clay and tumble off their pedastal; where they shouldn't have been put in the first place. But you can dream, and it will always be only a dream that can't match the reality of the love you encounter.

Very nice. I'm always impressed with achievments of unlikely heroes. Those are the kind I notice most.

I'm thinking, hero is as hero does. Hope he continues to light the fire.

I really like this! We do need many more heroes today.
