Quiet an example of esoteric poetry. Great with poetic critics, but unintelligible by those of us who never studied poetry or cared to win prizes with it--just communicate well with all readers.
You did strike one cord. The other day while on a mission, I took the wrong turn in the parking lot and came upon some heaved up asphalt, catching my easy lock on it in a way that I was stuck even with the power of my chair. My partner, thankfully, jerked on my chair enough so that I could back out of the situation and take the smooth sidewalk into the building.
Fortunately, cobblestone streets are long gone. If I tried to navigate one, the springs on my chair and the bouncy levitation of my air cushion would give my neck tremendous back and forward whip lashes as I tried to get across it as quick as possible before my head disconnected from my body.
The first stanza made me think about it a little bit, but then I get the sound you described; the second stanza was quite visual so I see that in my head. Thank you for sharing!
