This has power like The Ring itself, Joseph!! It has that (very much pared-down and poetic!) Tolkien mysticism and yet earthy soulfulness to it somehow, too. Just love your discipline with the sparseness of this write, and yet you say so much and in so many different directions: the mark of good poetry! This seems a "viscious circle" indeed and I can really relate to the "back-turned"-thing... no worse feeling of being "shut out" than that! Can sense the agony and frustration here. Much applause!
