Readers, I thought many could identify with this. I am having a problem with the way it looks with gray shaded before the words. Excuse this, as I do not know why it looks this way, but will work on it. Katie
Dear Eternity,
My sins
Have found
Me out
Of touch
With health -
Of bounds
With wealth -
And I flounder
In slough of despond.
But I meant well -
Weller than I did.
My days
Consequently
Are shorter
Than I'd hope
When I burned both ends,
But all along I knew
I didn't really care
To loiter
Along the way to you,
Dear Eternity.

I love this - it says a lot, in my mind, about how briefly we are here, how well our intentions, and how we recognize that eternity is our true destiny. Well said!

Haha! Gotta love this, Addie! And the shading doesn't bother ME nearly as much as the confounded music people subject their readers with as they try to read their poetry. I have trouble thinking coherently normally, never mind the added distraction of music. I loved this one. Loved it.
