On whom
Do we inflict blame?
Those with whom
We disagree of course -
Those different than us.
Knowing this
As we do
When we wonder
And then pause
Is it not
Obvious
That we are
Ourselves
Deserving
Of our own blame?
Let us then
Not judge
But merely sigh.
We are all
In this -
Together.
We need no mirrors
For we have
Each others' eyes.
Though we would
That they were blind
That only we
Could see
For them
We could judge
And we would blame
Them for
Their blindness first
And then for all
They did not see -
That we were
Guilty of,
In our singleness
Of vision.
