... Forget the snow, the winds, the lashing gales... :) xx

PINA COLADA KINSHIP

Hand to hand their twinship rests,
a single heart line stretched
between two close-pressed palms
spanning star-kissed seas
and sultry strands;

ties of life and destiny weave
the easy-swinging hammock
that rocks to the self-reflexive rhythms
of their biorhythmic rumba.

Breathing in resonance,
breathing out rhyme,
not even time
lies between them.

So easily you seem to turn each simple phrase, like examining the contents of your drink through the transparency of glass. N,True

Those two last lines of this lovely piece of writing are exquisite: "not even time/lies between them." Beautiful and expansive. ~~ Diana

Kate,
The Song from the 70's Pina Colada rings in my head as I read your poem.
It's all about destiny, darling, and how we travel toward that elusive butterfly....
Nicely done Kate my sweet friend.
Peace, love and light,
Amber

Kate, You open up our senses with the words that you use

As always you stir the readers imagination beyond the printed words.

Most happy to read you once again.

The third line takes a very good poem
and lifts it up to the sky!

THis is really leaving out the cold windswept snow to melt within that weave of the hammocks contents. What beauty therein lies especially with that one stanza:
"Breathing in resonance,
breathing out rhyme,
not even time
lies between them."
You have my attention Kate, your writes are truly inspirational journeys

Truer love was never written. Your way with words providing deep meaning is outstanding. Exactly how I feel when she's holding me close. Swaying to our own special breeze and intoxicated by the warmth.

Suspended belief about biorthymic. Then I see your circular thoughts and the depth of the romance between the couple entwined in perfect bliss in perfect time. In contact with nature two lovers collide on the hammock that the union of souls poetically collide.

Natures dance always enchants when two become one with sublime divine love. Xx
