A very wise way of looking at problems that seem insolvable. Most of the problems of this world are attitudinal. It's very difficult to change peoples' attitudes. But they do change, over time, and something like a major tragedy or impending danger, can change attitudes overnight.
I am grateful that there are those willing to grab onto major problems, chronicle them, and collect data that is necessary for proving how severe the particular problem really is. Without them, ignoring problems won't make them go away.
I don't believe we've stopped thinking about problems, but we have become so divided that any solution offered up by one, is quickly dismissed by others, and it turns into a vicious circle, and nothing gets done.
