Dear Mother
I am writing this letter in a poem form
I want to sing you a song
That might seem buang buang.
So I am writing you a poem from the top of my head.
If you was here with me I would whisper in your ear,
How much I love you without having to shed a tear.
My mind likes to play tricks on me,
Making me believe you are only far away,
Like when you lived in Kentucky and I missed you every day.
But then a flash in my mind shows me you laying there without your smile,
It reminds me that the next time I visit you wont be for a very long while
My heart had died the day you passed,
The pain felt like eternity,
Then one day I met this women who was an angel in disguise who soon became your daughter inlaw,
She told me to be strong that heaven is where you now belong.
But still there are times when my mind wants to win, and make me believe that you are still here,
And the memories that I have of you seem so very clear, then my heart reminds me that you are not going any where.
Thank you my mother, for showing me how to be good, I will carry out your legacy just like your oldest child should.

I love and miss you a lot
Always know that I keep you near,
For now I complete this letter,
As I shed more then a single tear.
Love your Daughter

My mother was a wonderful mother that gave me one thing many mothers don't… The freedom to do and make my own mistakes, allowing me to leave home and out from under her loving arms mature enough to make it on my own.
