Find consolation in isolation that absence tends to fill
Good things prod and prompt us, help us find a key
To build a new foundation to strengthen you and me

Filling time with changes, new phases and good wills
We add new tunes to melodies with ornaments and trills
Nice things sometime happen to those who sit and wait
We often say that just a thought can lead to something great

Isolated for the duration looking for a comfort station
Seeking mutual admiration and love of smaller thrills
We dream of summer pastures when the sun is stronger still
Focusing on little pleasures, far from winter chills

Revising daily lifestyle, keeping thoughts so light
Brittle issues fold like tissues, dimmed by bright sunlight
Think of winking at minor flaws, they cause no lasting strife
Therein lies the answer - look for the lovely things in life

Thoughts floating on gossamer wings
Just coast along on these lovely things
These things so featherlight
These lovely things of life
