Lady Spring

Season thought prior to summer

  

 

Old Man Winter came and went

Ms Spring arrived but not to vent

She blew in hard with the March winds

Now softly warming Earth’s ground again

 

Warmth brings up trees sap

Life blood for new leafs at last

Buds forming ready to explode

Revealing natures radiant colors so bold

 

Stems reaching up from deep below

Bringing along the flowers that have been so cold

Every color known to man

Now the old dreary land looks so grand

 

Ms Spring proud as she looks around

Colors and beauty she has provided the ground

Proud now she can be and show no shame

Spring provided now this she proclaims

oH I LOVE POETRY ABOUT THE ELEMENTS/SEASONS/Nature........thank you for this one.....Spring is one of my favorites....the other is Fall......You did this so well.......

Beautifully penned and well stated but you forgot to include the chiggers and the mosquitoes and the creepy, crawly things and the . . . Sorry I got carried away. I loved the poem. Really. I just like to tweak sometimes.

I'm not big on inverting sentences to get the rhyming word at the end, but this is very nice in all other ways.
