Our roof leaks. Our rent's unpaid. We often leave Our beds unmade. My little girl asks, What is wrong?" It's getting hard To play along.
We have a puddle On the floor, From thirty feet of snow Or more. What is life worth living for? But she is fine And there is hope. I see gifts, Forget to mope.

Dear Apostrophe Fanatic,

I'm glad you're an apostrophe fanatic. I didn't expect anyone here while creating this poem but here you are. Thank heavens -- I hate being ungrammatical even in the worst situations. Now to go mop-up our floor again.
