Dressed like a princess for prom, "Mom stop crying, it's so embarasing!"
I've seen you laugh, I've seen you cry & go straight for the ice cream.
I've seen all the faces of all the boyfriends& all of the kissing.
I know it's time to come in when the porch light is blinking.
I watched when your husband gave you that engagement ring.
I witnessed first hand the plans, shower and wedding.
Now, I see the new baby when she comes to Grandma's visiting.
I've kept all of your secrets, all of your life, just hanging here invisibly.
I hope I will always be here to watch your family history.
I promise always to be true , silently, diligently.
