Passionflower
Lying silently, I hear your every word
And taste the magic of your thought...
You vivify my innermost silent world
Immersed within each emotion.
Your presence courses through my veins;
Fears are set free to blowing winds –
Like a flurry of butterfly wings –
And intimacy imbues the moment.
As the sweet smell of budding blooms,
It flows like a wave of love
Over and around our snaking forms,
Where the scent of lovers’ breath
Becomes the heat of entwined limbs,
Like tendrils of the passionflower
On a humid tropical day.
We will eventually lay spooned
Beneath the casting of a moon night,
Listening to cool breeze’s dulcet tones –
Amorous and romantic words, –
Libidinally enticing our burning desires!
I slowly and softly say "Thank You", forever and sincerely, for as long as I voice!

"Passionflower". I read it loud. It has a powerful energy. It makes one dream. Just lovely. It has an impressive rhythm, great lexis and a soulful poetic sensual enchantment.
It is always a pleasure to read a poem that honors the language and enriches the eternal pages of Poetry.
Blending Southern Gothic mystery romance, fantasy, theater, dance, music, and flashes of humor, tells the story of a pair of lovers in two separate time periods who find themselves battling an evil fifty years apart.
