A Distant Wave
I see you there
Beyond this worldly air
Within the framework of my despair
I see you there.
Pulling me, as the moon pulls
You, scattering your edges in pools
Filled with those slow moving fools.
I wait for the pulling when the Moon is full
Beyond the shoreline
Of my reality mind
I stare, seeking to find;
Beyond the infinite shoreline.
The empty framed window
Lay open a short ways below
All knowledge I have acquired and know.
Wind pushed, in and out, beckoning me to go.
Light bounces off a distant wave
"Leave what I took, bring what I gave"
Whisper in my heart, seeking to be brave.
Where the light bounces off a distant wave.
One last look
Back to my last step I took,
To see the open framed window
Close upon my past life, an unfinished book.
