The sheer dress effect in this digital sketch is a brush tool called ‘triangulum’ and it has the transparency that is the last layer of the piece. These digital paintings have panes of work, pancaked under/over each other in layers that can be worked with independent of each other. The software is called ‘Procreate.’ and done on an iPad using an iPencil as the brush tool. ~~ djl

I must say that you are totally back when it comes to artistry. I believe that is the best of your original work that I've ever seen. How are you achieved the transparency in such a realistic way is a real skill having done a bit of wax pencil on construction paper rendering.

Asl always, your ability to arrest in your readers such emotion and contemplation with just a few words is remarkable. And your painting... such depth as well. Yes, we can all find that moment, or perhaps many moments, when our world can come crashing down from a single word spoken, or sometimes, written. One of the most precious principles we own are those building blocks we gave to have some dignity. Thank you for another brief, but oh so lasting, few words.

"Holding goodness - her open face", such fine lines, standouts, in this brief but powerful poem. And "ow just one word slaps dignity away", suggesting the power of words (a word) and the fragility of "dignity". Love this.
