Poem Artwork

Tears drip and fall down,
disappearing on my skin.
Swallowed by the ice

The sadness prevails,
enshrouding this heart of light
in darkness too thick.

Frozen in place like
a marbled statue, veined
in winter's blue shades.

Warmth sneaks in past the
cold, a velvet caress felt
unbidden by me.

Push the touch away.
It burns through layers of self
recrimination.

Ice princess. Frozen
angel trapped in this garden
of the forgotten.

Wandered here too long
ago. I can't remember
how to live again.

Danielle,

The warmth of your heart will melt the frozen angel from the inside out. Many seeds are now dreaming of that day when they will burst through the frozen soil. Remembrance of the Joy of Life is within them, looking forward to the opportunity to dance with the sun.

Love & Light,
Joseph

Danielle this is so beautifully written I hesitate to mention the sadness that went into every word.It is a superb poem on the topic and through misty eyes I pray you will receive whatever it is you need to remember how to live again!

Sounds like my first wife. Just kidding! JUST kidding! I like these poems which dwell inside the muck and mire of our tatnished souls. Good.

Danielle,

Bare bones, succinct verse; darkness haunts this garden of poetry; but dammit, it's AWESOME work. The pic accentuates each word, very well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

A stark and potent expression of some deep and dark thoughts and feelings. You have done it again.

Stark but honest images here fill the paper like spirits of feelings that still are unresolved.I love the graphic and it seems to be a continuation of the verses or a prelude I think. Well done.

A full course poetic meal in this "Garden" party... ~ to nourish any refined guest ~ IS ON THE HOUSE.

"Garden" has paid its poetic dues as a golden page to the history of Poetry.

I enjoyed the reading of "Garden".

Sometimes it takes re-learning more so than remembering. Danielle, you have written an intense and darkly beautiful poem.
I love the feel of your writing.
