Peace

In sweet surrender

Entwining forgetfulness

We – captives of ecstasy

For awhile – blissed in longingness

Tenderly embrace.

Like the loins of life

That swell with ease

My eagerness is flowing

As – the moment I seize.

Inflamed with passion

Melancholy with desire

Tense with clarity, knowing –

With deep sadness the agony

Happiness does bring.

Flesh of each others flesh

Bone of each others bone

Desperate in awe

Loves pain sears –

Through the cold of truth

Trembling with fear

I plead

Stay just for a while

This heart of mine-

Ensouled in grief - remembers

The lure of sweet surrender

Those moments of infinite wonder –
