Sorrow

Confusion blinds my feelings

This hurt – concealed in reason,

As my senses are numbed by the intellect

I’m lost, self doubt besieges me –

Too sensitive perhaps

I watch as silent pain edges my world.

Deluded by need and shamed by expectation,

Guilt caresses my misery as remorse enfolds me.

Am I so wrong, is this deception or am I -

Angst with suppression.

Forgiveness is sweet

Acceptance is a gift but naught seem to know it,

Life – is tainted with the smear of judgement –

Heavy with the superiority of criticism.

Am I to be the jailor of my own delusions or

Break free –

Liberate the shackles that habit does decree.                    Pia
