who, lost in self righteousness

can truly see

the hope inside the heart

of another

who cries


who, alone and cold and tired

can truly feel

the warmth in a soul

that is sure it longs for and needs

nothing more


who, found empty and passed by

can ever believe

anyone can truly need

to care for them

more than they care for themselves


who, lost, or found

has the right

to condemn

or the right

to judge.

Who? Is indeed the question. Genetically, we are built to be selfish. Built to survive. It is only with compassion that we're able to go beyond help someone.

who indeed pierre? you bring many thoughts and facets to ponder in this wonderful write...so glad i stopped even tho the title did not intrigue me...who knows when one might find a treasure as this...who?
