there was once a time when a simple glance from you could bring to my eyes tears of joy now my life is a living testament to all that time can destroy there was once a place in my heart where the faintest smile on your face could wipe away from my soul the memory of my deepest hurt that nothing else could erase there was once a loneliness that was no more when I was in your arms a part of me no longer missing now our love is just a dying ember of the wood of caring the flames of hate are kissing there was once between us something though elusive so special and genuine more than we could hope to understand and greater than either of us could ever imagine. copyright 2012 Pierre Ortega

Sadder than sad...I know these emotions and they can change your life. They cut me like a knife years ago. Now I'm a skeptic when it comes to love. I hope this doesn't happen to you. Your poem is a message taken from the heart. It is where the best poems are created...from experience.
