Too hateful to be broken

could a mind

get strong enough to think itself

too special to be bothered

able to laugh while loved ones cry



could a soul

be so lost in it's perfection

as not to be influenced

by the love that it denies



could a heart

ever feel

too hateful to be broken

can anyone turn a blind eye



to the pain

and suffering

of our world

how could they even try.

yes, pierre, such people do exist. they destroy lives...families and they don't even care. tragic.

This reads for me like a list of mighty forcefields. Very strong implications and observances that render the answer 'yes' to most, if not all, of these in my view. The second stanza, "could a soul" brings about the vision of 'total immersion in devout spiritual discipline.' The poetry stands like a pillar exemplifying imbalance. Powerful concepts you put down here. ~~ Diana
