Carole, this rings of winter and the beautiful images that comes with ice crystals, snow and icy winds...however I still shudder in the cold and seek warmth in avoidance of it. Beautiful writing.

Carole, such are the moments (beautifully captured) that
make winter a worthwhile experience (even when we shore
lovers) are expecting another 8 inches tonight. -gene.
I'm glad these are written in warm ink, Carole, as I wouldn't want any of them to fade - each one unique (as snowflakes are!) and capturing a quintessential "something" that is as fresh and as invigorating as that first intake of frosty air. Beautifully crafted and finely tuned. Very cool! :)) xx
A Beautiful write Carole
Your presented scene send chills up my spine
But would you believe
I am in Georgie visiting Grandchildren
and it snowed here 6 inches
First time in over One Hundred years
and I Got caught in it.........
we also had a white Christmas here........
Great reading your work again
Love & Peace be with you
Happy New Year to you and your family
Beautiful poem Carole. I can picture the ice. Many years ago, I used to skate.

Each piece like a snowflake, intricate and unique, contributes a nuanced sense of this wintry framework. Wonderfully wrought.

Beautiful writing sweet lady as always sure is nice to read you again..sorry I haven't been commenting been busy with family matters...stay safe and well Hugsss
Although I often curse the cold, I am so glad I live in a place that has such distinct lines between the seasons. I could so imagine that fishing rod that like mine now sits isolated in the trunk of the car while the snow and ice on the lake take precedence.

Carole, this is a work of art my dear friend. You captured the stark beauty of the icy cold and snow. You also captured the power of the human spirit to prevail and appreciate. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Jon Michael
Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
