Among the extraordinary literary talents we lost in 2019 was the 1993 Nobel Prize in Literature winner Toni Morrison. She left a great deal worthy of celebrating in different ways.

Five months before the great Nobel Laureate Toni Morrison died on August 5, 2019, at Montefiore Medical Center in New York, I felt compelled to begin writing a tribute poem in her honor. It's possible the February 2019 release of the biopic titled The Pieces of I Am inspired me to some degree to begin writing A Song of Toni Morrison My Soul Now Sings in March and complete it sometime in April. A number of publications have expressed interest in publishing the poem and I am happy to share with readers at AD this page for one of them:
