The Lover

Elegant bells


Murmuring


As her wrist floats by my view


Thin like a wand of white willow


She dances when she walks


And the very dust at her feet


Bows at her twinkling toes.


A child of moonlight,


Her glow magnanimous,


Beautiful.


She collects the dust


And gathers it like glitter


It sparkles under her gaze


As does the world in general


And she’d scatter it all away


For a taste of my lips.
