This is a serious piece about how all the things I say hurt so much.

It Hurts
by Barbara Lynn Terry

Depression hurts deep down in the soul
it starts in the pits of your mind and works outward
it prevents you from moving on and being whole
It makes you climb in to yourself.

Loneliness hurts so bad that it causes physical nausea
you want to be a part of something
to be with someone
but there is no one.

Sadness hurts that it leaves you quaking
but others think you are faking
and you cry and cry
as they walk on by.

Abandonment hurts because you feel guilty
even if you did nothing wrong
even if you think it isn't your fault
even if you think everything will be alright.

Depression, loneliness, sadness and abandonment
hurt so bad that they cause deep gashes in your soul
wounds that will never heal because they cut the bleeder
and you cry and cry because no one will tell you why.

Yes it hurts desperately. A compelling and deeply emotive pen Barbie. My heart is touched and my prayers go out for you.

If I could offer to you Barbie, the experience I have grown from
I would love for you to feel it and that is EMDR therapy.
(google it- EMDR.com aka: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
This organic therapy is so profoundly effective for helping
the brain get "unstuck" be it from trauma or any number of
things which stick us as an individual. EMDR helps us organically
recover our lives & emotional wealth and senses of well being.
The mind gets stuck in an experience (which differs for us all)
and when it gets stuck it remains there...reliving...over & over
& over again...and in this can lead to depression(s), anxiety, irrational & unexplainable fears, phobias...you name it.
And through reading you dear den sister & knowing you I really
would love for you to reach out and find a EMDR therapist-its
like dreaming with your eyes open. Your brain does all the work
with the guide & assistance of the EMDR specialist. The brain wants
to be healthy & we all deserve it...as you do too!! This could be
your chance at recovery & the healing elements to help you feel complete inside your heart & soul where you can also really experience
the goodness & the beauty of being YOU!! The Healthy & Emotionally Wealthy YOU! EMDR heals emotional pain...

May Love's Bounty Always Embrace
& Reveal YOU to know the Joy of Happiness
Love Always

You are resilient, Barbara, although you have been traumatized in such an unfair way. How brilliant of you to turn pain into your art.
Blessings,
Christine

I have first hand experience with this, Barbara. One of the most intense examples is the early departure of my mother from this life/world because she just could not take it any more. Sadly, I have many other example. I can understand and empathize. Love, peace, healing, and best wishes to you,

Regis

Barb, Yes, you are right on all counts and John is also
right about the options that are out there...they are
worth it. I've been there.
Always,
Deborah

I have been close to several people who suffered from depression of the sort you describe. It is an on going journey to find good places to be.
We all seem to find a way to hurt, strange thing about people.
But this depression is a condition that needs healing. Lots of options out there that I know take so much time to try- but it is worth it.

Tough poem- tells it like it is.

John
