Who remembers him when?

Remember Him When

Who stole his smile, leaving nothing in its wake?

What stroke of adversity curved his shoulders?

How many tears must he have swallowed

to develop that bubble in his throat?

Who remembers him when?

When did the twinkle become a tear?

The shuffle replace his stride?

How many did it take to subdue his heart,

and ice the fires left behind?

Do they remember him when?

Does anyone relish the words he spoke?

Will they carry his wisdom forward?

Will the world mourn his absence,

or callously cast off the burden?

Will anyone remember him when?

Oh Sandy so many questions and very few answers and as I age and my health issues increase I find too often I am asking myself these same questions. Yes I know I will leave behind loved ones but sometimes a man (or woman) aspires to leave behind more perhaps for their loved ones to admire...who knows. I wonder too...

Esoteric questions for those who comply with the dictation of
the rulers of the minds that live in slaveyards named "freedom";
A symbolistical composition on the ontological and teleological
thoughts.

I have enjoyed the reading of "Remember Him When".

Thank You, Poet!
