Wounded love with a twist of Halloween
A skeleton escapes the quagmire of extinction dodges a haze of emotion swims murky perceptions He shakes cobwebbed memories from his hollow heart accidentally drops numb shuns an edge of charm Echoed words, blurred visions haunt him in turn Elation battles sorrow as wounded love returns He sidesteps dreams crawl s into the casket breaks the connection not ready yet The problem with remembering how it feels to be alive is regret always returns the moment he opens his eyes Sandy Knauer 10/05
