Poem Artwork

My Cogito Ergo Sum has oft been bandied about.
It proves my mind exists; but my body remains in doubt.

Gads, what a dilemma, a mind without a bod.
Should I pray for divine help from my Almighty God?

But as I kneel here praying my stomach begins to roar.
“Look here you fool, if you don’t eat you’ll soon be on thefloor.”

Who would think my hunger could open up my mind?
Now, I have an answer to pass down to mankind.

Hah! My body does exist, I’m enjoying eggs and ham.
If I don’t eat my mind will stop, I eat, therefore I am.
