Forget it; we’ll never know! Do we exist by God, or is it reversed? Have we created God as practical nurse To soften our pain: life without meaning? Can man's curse be to exist without a reason? We manage life without much hue and cry When mingling daily in the public's eye. But contemplating alone, our mind can't rest. Haunting relief becomes a nagging quest. Science keeps researching, yet even so Our mind says, "Forget it; we'll never know!"

true...so true...
science needs validation
logic rationalizing things
but the spirit...well
we all decide how we feel
about this...
I was told the other day
similar to what you express here
& it just might be a possibility

"after death we may just cease to exist..."

But we are all on borrowed time
& energy...Earth to Earth
Dust to Dust...from where we came
