When cleaning the floor I often wonder About dust balls swirling beneath my bed. Somehow they seem to appear like magic But I fear they might be something more tragic Like someone coming or going instead. This tale of woe won't make me blue, Unless the dust is someone I knew.
I've often marvelled about the same dilemma:dust bunnies! Where do they come from? Why are they always grey...and fluffy! I tried shutting off vents and even limit air intake...still those bunnies appear. Know what I discovered? Those dust bunnies come from us...yep...our bodies! Imagine that! Now, there's something to ponder! From dust we came...'tis dust we be...to dust we return!
There is much to "garner" from your verses here, Regis. Coincidentally, I posted a poem with the same title (Dust Bunnies) some time ago right here at AD. Thanks for sharing. Love and peace,
Awesome image! It illustrates the poem well...it's metaphysical in its delivery almost reincarnate-like...ghost figures rising from the floor...ashes to ashes dust to dust...Be well, Regis...
