Reminds me of the CGI or blood bladder tricks of video makers who love to "thrill us" with lots of blood and gore flying everywhere. The latest is a race (to the death for a loser each day) across the country with the cars running on blood. Blood Drive is everything the titles connotes. Lots of watermelons exploding in this one. Totally senseless gratification… Yet I continue to watch to see if the beautiful lady will end up being ground up for fuel.
A few years back, a friend brought a watermelon to share. What he didn't tell us was that melon had been sitting in the back of his truck for 5 days in the hot summer heat. When I stuck a knife into that melon, juice shot out of it like a geyser. It didn't explode, but it sure made a mess before I could get into the sink, and aimed for the drain.
