I am an apple tree,
My roots grow deep, trailing tendrils
Pushing through the soil, down, down, down
Into the Underworld, where I gather strength.
My branches grow tightly together, crowning me
In my glory, yet their reach is wide,
Sharing my knowledge with many -
Immortal Venusian wisdom,
Timeless in the ways of the world.
White blossoms tinged-pink spring forth
In the cool spring air, my rebirth and return from
Such a deep, sweet slumber,
Delicate petals kissing all who come near with their sensual scent,
(I feel you now, longing for my kiss)
Quickening pulses in anticipation,
Eager to finger my fragile flower,
To pollinate me with a thousand tender embraces -
I grow heavy with succulent fruit…
I am temptation,
Such a beauty, flowering full of life,
So exquisitely ripe,
(Go on, take a bite…)
Forbidden fruit of knowledge
Drawing you in, satiating your intense hunger,
Fueling your desire…
Come, just a taste…a bite…
