Kleenex

My box of Kleenex waiting so patiently atop my computer

Watching me labour over the keys

Stare into space

Then make a face

The Typr shsins

I mean type again

Stupid fingers

Great bid wad o’ Kleenex balled up in my hand,

Gentle friend to my eyes and nose

Are you 2 ply or one?

Feels like 2 this time.

You are always there when I need you

Waiting patiently for my bidding

You rush up like a white knight to save me from my tears

There now you say, there

It will be okay.

In the support of your arm

I gather myself together

My hero

Big wad o’ Kleenex.

In this wit-wise composition a sample of gratitude lights up the way to fairness.

Long healthy Creative life, Poet!

Haha! Have to admit that I have never read a poem about Kleenex, but, like Sue said, a hero is a hero is a hero . . . Or sumptin' lak dat.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
