Fool’s gold
It is all fool’s gold
a siren song
quicksilver,
offered to those who be so bold
as to long for it
held out with hands which shake with mirth
at those foolish enough to reach for it
watching, ones offering, get a renewed sense of self worth
to see the expression on the faces of those without wit
the gold turns to cheap metal and the silver melts away.

A true poetic vision... It is a depicting of the reality of illusion... "Fool's gold" paid its dues to Poetry.
