This poem was written, after a walking tour along the Grand Canyon ledge, just before it began to snow.

Trespassing on sacred grounds

We disturb nature’s dream, as we walk along the edge of the Grand Canyon, with countless other gawkers and geezers, grinning like one of the salesmen in a half- off advertisement.

Somebody’s sunglasses lie on the ledge below

The guide says he’s bored of the canyon, from seeing it every day.

Everybody tries to stay out of everyone else’s digital camera view.

Somebody has had the wisdom to ban us from trespassing on the Canyon floor

As we leave, the snow begins.

There is a great deal of "hidden" meaning behind your words, Janet. Thank you. Love and peace,

Who says we can't ride a donkey to the floor of the Grand Canyon? It's a National Park.

The symbolism in "Tresspassing on sacred grounds" makes this piece
a poetic grand.

Janet,

Having never been to the Grand Canyon, you convey its grandeur in spectacular, realistic prose. I cannot imagine getting bored with seeing it day after day...but I suppose it could happen. Well written!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
