The Doors of Life

        DOORS

The door of home,
'twas a trying day.
The door in my face,
love's dead bouquet.
The door of attraction,
when life's a bore...
Oh for adventure
beyond the green door.

A door opened gently
means comfort for me.
A door slammed,
the essence of finality.
A door pushed quickly,
there's hope, or relief;
But slid open slowly,
it's admitting grief.

Some doors protect,
or provide retreat.
Some doors challenge,
or spell defeat.
A series of doors
through love and strife,
until destiny closes
the door of life.

Intriguing poem, very interesting way to present the various experiences we face in life. Many open doors, many closing doors, many facets of living, until the final door.
Thank you,
Thurman

Very well done, Delma. That final door ... is it an end, or a beginning? We'll only know when we walk through it.
