thoughts that rambled through my head 2day.

Rain
by Pam Osbey

I don't know you at all.
All you caused was rain.
Tears that coursed by delicious, curious ever so wandering eyes.
Burning inside my soul seeped
blues just a few months ago.
Now I tear at the happy memories
of yesterday like thin paper waving in the wild wind.
Somedays I'm missing you like an addict
needs her next hit.
Yet, I feel I don't know you at all.
The lies you tell burn me slightly.
Thought I could get through the night
without musing on you
but my heart breaks so softly
like fires that will not die.
Lies you tell burn me.
Wonder why you can't face me?
Maybe it's your own fear
for knowing you and I caused the
dead dreams that haunt the both of us.
Maybe it's the unanswered questions
that we both wanted to bring to light.
Too afraid of hurting each other.
Too many games.
Now we are in our own hell hole and can't get out.
I know I don't want to rub my eyes
no more and need to know that you are alright.
Maybe I shouldn't care.
Maybe I want too much.
Like peace to hold my silly soul and release the memory of thee.
Maybe I'll laugh again like I do when I look at Martin or Good Times.
Maybe you didn't love me.
Sometimes I think you pretended to be my friend cause you
were playing another game like you did with all those other ladies you called your friends.
Guess the games over now, player.
Just know that I have burned black blues
away from my heavy soul that brings beautiful rhymes to come out.
And I don't regret a thing.
See, it was only practice.
Cause the next time I fall in love, it will be with the one the master will present me too.
He will be my king.
and I'll remember my times with you as a crazy last practice.
And I won't be crying blues into my pillow at night.
So, thank you.
Now, leave me and learn to love the peace that is begging you to see itself free like a bird ready to take the beautiful day.
