a venting moment...

Sometimes I Cry

for the injustices in the world
for my soul
for the little ones
for the demons I cannot escape

sometimes I cry
for the injustices in the world
the children abused, used, and kidnapped
for the brothers jailed for innocent crimes
for those who have endured police brutality
for those who have been vandalized, raped, and
otherwise dealt with negativity

sometimes I cry
for my soul
how I cannot let go of past injustices
how I cannot forget about my daddy’s disappearance years ago
how I cannot forget the lies told
how I cannot forgive the pain
that I constantly give back to me

sometimes I cry
for the little ones
who need to be protected
who need to be guided
who need to be loved

sometimes I cry
for the demons I cannot escape
constant haunting me over and over again
I know in the end, it is me that has the
key......

to start again
to start anew
to forgive
to heal
to bring light in my soul
and the world around me
