I take a few tasty words
and put in a literary
pot, stir 'em up,
put the spice of
poetic teachings
in the hood
or wherever my words
are needed, cause this
sister is slanging
words like drug dealers
slang rocks
I take a few press
blisty things
for my clients
whip up the best
copywriting this side
of Chitown as I
create the tasty
press releases that
will make your eyes
pop up and wonder
who's that "artist"
See, I slang words and
press releases like
gang bangers slang
their products
My words are on fire
like hyped up crack
addicts hitting their
veins for the twentieth
time
my words are the thing
that gets me on by
You see 'em advertised
on the internet at
www.hustlethis.com
and a few newspaper articles
have been referred to my work
as surprisingly fresh
like hot biscuits melting
with butter on like momma
used to make for me.....
LATEST HUSTLING NEWS
"chicago lady has got it going
on as she takes words and lives
off of them"
Hustle this
Hustle that
I used to work in an office
hardly working
but my alphabets, vowels,
and synonyms, got me working
over time
pulling my hair
nibbling on my fingertips
as i try to create the best
poem, story, or byline for a client
Hustle this
Hustle that
a young boy on the corner
once asked me what I do
and I told him I work for me
he asked what did that mean
and flipped, "do you sell drugs, mami"
I said, "no, I hustle words"
he grinned and said "that's dope"
Hustle this
Hustle that
Words are my bread and butter
they feed me real well,
stuff shrimp in my hungry mouth,
give my brain inspiration, and in turn
my fingers get.....
much rest so they won't be tired
when i peck on my Dell computer
Words are my friend,
keep me comforter when someone
breaks my heart
Words are like my best friend
and like the journal i scribe my
thoughts into daily
They tell me where to hustle
my fingers too.
The words chant positive
hymns in my head
and then they tell me when
to go to bed
so i can get my rest
So, words are always helping me
to keep my hustling on the grind
24/7 every day and every night
Just wanted to tell ya, literary
hustlers, please don't give up the fight
keep on pumping out that great material
every day and every night
even with the light dimming in the late late
night
Cause hustling this way is too legit to
quit!
and it's beautiful thing to create
your own platform to heal and inspire
the world
Hustle This
Hustle That
Cause this is the truth,
and that's a literary fact!
