In the basement of my thoughts I remember
darkness that covered my previous vision.
My bruises were hidden to the naked eye
I allowed the blackness cover me.
With a crooked crown, damp smile & a dope plan
I got the idea to recoup myself.
What is self – love
When your confidence has been crushed by life?
When too much strife has suffocated your
Positivity.
On the days that followed I
chose peace & serenity…
Used my time to build up my self-esteem
No longer using hints as signs of what I want.
I looked deep into the mirror and said to
myself “I love you.”
And began to erase negativity out of my space.
Built happy moments and sunny days around
The uncertain ones.
