I get things a little screwy

wrong
do
things
wrong
people do what they want
actions speak louder
can’t deny these truisms
can’t say anything about that
well
hear me and hear me well
there is a peace within me
that comes from knowing
my life though not perfect by any means
is perfect
in this respect

am
loved
know this beyond a shadow of a doubt
know this as surely as I have ever known
anything
and this gift of love I share
rare
intense
manifested daily in a million ways
is not one to be squandered
wasted
with foolish hurtful, misinterpretations
I stand today
a different creation
knowing my value
my worth
my potential
as never before
speaks volumes in my heart
as a testimony
of
love
