I write this prose following the unfortunate fall of my beloved 88-year-old mom down a flight of stairs, last Friday. She fractured two of the seven vertebrae in her neck, but Praise the LORD, she is not paralyzed, though she must wear a neck brace for the next three months or so. She has just been moved out of intensive care and must remain immobile because there is still the risk of paralysis. In time she will be sent to a rehab institution. I humbly ask those who stop by to leave a prayer or just add her to your prayer list. Her name is Lottie. Sincere thanks. To all of you, please be careful with stairs! God Bless! Don’t take life for granted, my friend ‘Cause no one knows what tomorrow will bring In a moment, in a twinkling of an eye Life as you know it could change! A fainting spell sent my sweet, sweet mom Tumbling head first down a flight of stairs! This normally energetic independent woman Now lies in a hospital bed, the ceiling her only view; Her head encased in an uncomfortable neck brace! By the Grace of our Triune God She is able to speak and move her limbs! How very important it is To do good… to be good Don’t even seek to blame! Love your enemies and your family Even if some are unlovable; But most importantly Place your faith and trust in Jesus For He is the Alpha and the Omega He knows the beginning from the end His peace will comfort and reassure! Thanks heaps for your prayers!

Recommending the Love of Jesus is the best advice. Putting Jesus first in your poem makes it twice as nice. Amen!

Profound heart-felt reflection, so real.

My prayers to with you and your mom. I know the feeling. I say a thank you prayer every morning. By the way I am headed to the hospital myself for some same-day surgury. Shouldn't be a big deal but I thought I would tell you. Your prayers will be appreciated.
