Sometimes I just don't understand
This heart of mine nor hearts of man
Emotions overcome my mind
And a pain exists I can't define
It comes and goes of its own will
An ethereal soul that's weeping still
The memory of distant realms
So powerful it overwhelms
For it carries forth a misery
From an ancient eon's mystery
And sometimes its intensity
Evokes in me an empathy
From the lives I've led that brought me here
To impart the knowledge of earlier years
And bestow my gifts upon this earth
To lead men's hearts to profound rebirth
As compassion's compass sets true north
To a loving way beckoning all souls forth
