The Birth of Insanity

Misery has been around since the beginning of time.

It steals the soul and cripples the mind.

It’s a plague that spreads with the speed of light,

And weakens the most powerful of might.

It draws you into a hellish nightmare.

It scratches and claws to keep you there.

Isolation, self-loathing and paranoia are your constant

Companions.  It pulls you deeper and deeper into its silent,

Soothing abyss with a long, slow biting kiss.

Misery can become a passionate lover.

While taking the place of your Mother, your Father, your sister and brother.

It hypnotizes and mesmerizes while wrapping you up in a paralyzing

Blanket of lies and deceit, it’s a skillful cheat.

It robs you of your sanity and isolates you from the rest of humanity.

You belong to it.  Congratulations, you’ve just given birth to insanity.
