Meaningful Spaces

It’s not that life holds no inspiration,

Sunrises and sunsets continue to occur,

It is spring and Mother Earth is coming alive,

For the fifty fourth season of my life.

I find happiness in sharing in the lives of my children,

And in the lives of my children’s children, too.

There is joy for me in the feel to my hand,

As I pet my horses from old Banjo to the new foal, Relic.

I can feel the memory of my sister’s body in our last embrace,

Hear my dad’s laughter and see the twinkle in his eye.

Yet I seem to exist in some state of limbo,

As I search to put life into meaningful spaces.
