Poetry by Liana Margiva

 Death came to Earth

The earthlings run and hide

Unable to resist the Reaper’s wrath.

Too long the people sought thy neigbor’s death,

Too great was joy from seeing others’ pain.

Too long the mankind was content to see

The broken hearts, maternal tears

Shed over bodies of the slaughtered children.

Death roams the Earth, seeks out those,

Who mulled the people under wheels of cars,

To see the look on their desperate faces

Before proceeding with the last embrace.

Grim Reaper enters in the homes of those

Who used to take the joy in others’ pain,

To prove its point: there’s no disparity in hearts

When one is burying his kin.

Death roams the Earth,

It reaps its deadly and impartial harvest

To make the people finally embrace

The angst of those who’s hearts were scorched by fire

Beholding their loved for leisure slaughtered .

Death sores high above the Earth, its cold embrace

To all mankind unleashes somber warning:

This planet‘s all we have, there is no other place,

It looks like End of Days is finally dawning.

Death’s grim design will come at gruesome cost,

To rip the life right off the face of planet,

So people understood what precious world they lost

And valued what they had as greatest tenet.

Death turned to be the Master of the Earth,

Which mankind squandered, year after year,

And blew it up, and flooded it with blood,

Without mercy, with abundant cheer.

Death came to Earth as penalty divine

For people not to forfeit their future,

To value life, feel mercy and compassion,

Not to rejoice in fellow humans’ torture.

May Reaper’s advent to our wicked world

Serve as a loud, frightening reminder:

Death’s powerful and terrifying sword

Can devastate the World and leave no soul behind her.

GOD LOVES US ALL AND HE IS ABSOLUTELY JUST. HE ALONE HAS ALL POWER OVER LIFE AND DEATH AND NOTHING...ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...HAPPENS WITHOUT HIS CONSENT. WE DO NOT UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING HE ALLOWS, BUT THEN...WE ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO UNDERSTAND FOR HIS THINKING IS HIGHER THAN OURS...THEN THE SKY IS HIGHER THAN THE EARTH. AND SO, ONE CAN ONLY PRAY AND BEG FOR THE MERCY AND GRACE OF OUR GOD...AS HE WIELDS HIS TERRIFYING SWORD. THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING LIANA. AS ALWAYS, YOUR WORK IS SO POWERFUL! LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Yes, death now stalks the unwary. 4.5% of those infected at the last count. While this figure is causing great angst, it is nothing like what happened during the world wars or even the epidemic of 1919.

But this is not the last and you are right that there may be a virus where all die coming our way and caused by our behavior.

A dark but thoughtful way of looking at what is happening.

A grim reminder of the realities that we now see around us during this Great Pandemic. A finely written poem on death that we must all reckon with in our own way.

An excellent poetic wake-up call for all. We will ALL die eventually. It's God's eternal equalizer. The choice we make now is if we want to live on the dark side or live with the giver of light. Amen
